Food Safety – Quality Assurance Manager

Kaino, a specialized recruitment firm, is hiring a Supplier Quality Assurance Manager for a fast-growing private label food company, as part of the expansion of its Barcelona team.

MISSIONS:

• Manage and review supplier food safety and quality documentation (approvals, renewals, certifications)
• Conduct supplier and facility audits and manage non-conformities and corrective action plans
• Ensure ongoing compliance with internal standards, customer requirements and regulatory frameworks
• Coordinate with suppliers across Europe, Middle East and Africa
• Challenge supplier documentation and follow up on missing or inconsistent information
• Track certification validity and expirations (organic, food safety schemes, etc.)
• Work closely with Sourcing, Development and Quality leadership teams
• Maintain accurate and structured documentation within internal systems (SAP and related tools)

PROFILE:

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry or related field
• Around 10 years of experience in Quality Assurance within the food industry
• Minimum 5 years of experience in supplier audits, food safety or compliance roles
• Strong knowledge of food safety standards (BRC, IFS, FSSC 22000, HACCP)
• Proven experience managing supplier documentation and audits
• High attention to detail and strong ability to challenge suppliers
• Comfortable working autonomously in a document-heavy environment
• Fluent in English; Spanish is a plus
• Experience with SAP or similar ERP systems is an advantage
